After the Baligan government went on a 3-month recess, Ebenia took the opportunity to claim Baliga as theirs, renaming the United Republic of Baliga to the Imperial Republic of Baliga. King Paul of Ebenia said, when questioned by President Benjamin of Baliga about his claim, that "Benjamin had abandoned Baliga."
President Benjamin, who announced that the United Republic of Baliga would be going into "isolation" for a "period of time" in May 2025, conducted a poll of Baligans where 100% agreed with President Benjamin’s claim that Baliga is not ruled over by Ebenia.
Half an hour after the Baligan Bulletin published an article subtly addressing the issue, titled "The Baliga Situation," Ebenia dropped their claims over Baliga. Benjamin claims that this is due to a mixture of "public pressure" and "brilliant work from Sam," the new foreign minister of Baliga. Sam had been appointed less than 24 hours before the situation was resolved and already knew Benjamin through work they had done together in various other micronations. Sam persuaded the Ebenians to drop the claim, which Benjamin claimed shows he was the "...best foreign minister I ever had."
In a statement he made to Ebenia, King Paul stated that "Due to leadership incompetence and a refusal to retrieve a suitable candidate, I am hereby reintegrating the Imperial Republic of Baliga into Ebenia, and giving the rest of Baliga, apart from Peoplesville that lawfully seceded from Baliga, back to Baliga."
President Benjamin, who has always disputed that Ebenia controls the State of Peoplesville, replied: "We still control Peoplesville, and don't recognise your claim, but to the credit of Ebenia, dropping the claim over the United Republic of Baliga herself is a positive, and good step from the Kingdom of Ebenia."
